BOWIE CITY COUNCIL - DISTRICT 1
A lifelong resident with a love of service
I was raised by an Army officer and Prince George's County Public School teacher who instilled in me a passion for public service. For over 15 years, I have been active as a volunteer charity organizer for the USO, Wounded Warrior Project, and the Maryland Special Olympics. I have worked with city volunteer committees addressing homelessness, public outreach, and business development. Most recently, I was appointed to the city's Financial Advisory and Information Technology committees.
In my four years on the city council, I attended every council and stakeholders meeting. I held over twenty community meetings and town halls. I consistently stood up to developers and advocated for the protection of local green space. I voted consistently to balance our city budget with a focus on core services and without a tax rate increase.
Most importantly, I have been an independent voice on the city council. I do not accept campaign contributions from developers. I work for you and am committed to always putting residents first.
A Balanced budget
It is my first commitment to maintain the city's core services while keeping tax rates flat and budgets balanced.
PRESERVING GREEN SPACE
Bowie's historic forests and green spaces make our community special and desirable. Protecting these spaces is a core priority.
I am committed to protecting police and emergency services while maintaining transparency and accountability.
I work tirelessly to put my neighbors and fellow residents first. Never hesitate to email, call, or text.
